Grants for Schools
In addition to the Tuition fees usually being covered by the Apprenticeship Levy Fund, secondary schools can receive significant grants for each graduate apprentice teacher.

If the subject is not listed on the left, the school usually still cover the fees via the levy fund; even if they don't pay in to that fund or have spent their entire fund.

Eligibility
Candidates will need:

a UK degree or equivalent

GCSE English and Maths - Grade C/4

GCSE Science - Grade C/4 (primary trainees only)

You can advertise that you are looking for Graduates to become apprentice teachers. Listing your vacancies on your website and promoting them can help to draw in local graduate talent.

How does it work?

Apprentices teach Monday - Thursdays for up to 15 hours per week. They can teach alone.

Friday is a study day for the apprentice which they usually undertake from home.

Schools will need to allocate a mentor to meet weekly with their apprentice teacher.

In the 3rd half term, trainees go on a 4 week contrasting placement.

Apprentices meet with Tes Institute on Wednesdays at 3pm online.

The fees for the training are usually covered by the apprenticeship levy.
